"The righteous cannot cooperated with the evil in an attempt to accomplish the purposes of God."

I.  The actions of false believers.  (1 John 2:19a)

    " They went out from us"

II.  The truth about false believers.  (1 John 2:19b)

     "They went out from us, but they were not of us."

III.  The confirmation that the false believers were false believers.  (1 John 2:19c)

     "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us."

IV.  The reason false believers leave.  (1 John 2:19d)

     "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us.  But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us."
